Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 15 June 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Ordyn website at https://www.ordyn.com.au and the Ordyn mobile application (together, "Ordyn" or the "Service"). Ordyn is operated by ORDYN PTY LTD (ACN 698 879 088), trading as Ordyn ("Ordyn", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using Ordyn, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Ordyn. Ordyn is currently offered as an Australia-first beta, and these Terms reflect that stage.
1. What Ordyn is
Ordyn is an AI-powered decision-support app for adults. It is designed to help you think more clearly and choose a controlled next action during emotionally charged situations. Ordyn may provide communication suggestions, decision guidance, and behavioural clarity tools based on the text you submit.
2. Ordyn is not professional advice or support
This is the most important part of these Terms. Please read it carefully.
Ordyn is not, and is not a substitute for, any of the following:
- therapy
- counselling
- medical advice
- legal advice
- crisis support
- emergency support
- professional care of any kind
Ordyn uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, unsuitable, or unsafe for your particular circumstances. You should not rely on Ordyn as your only source of guidance for any important decision.
You remain fully responsible for your own decisions, messages, communications, and actions. Any action you take after using Ordyn is your choice and your responsibility.
3. Emergencies and crisis situations
Ordyn is not built for emergencies or crisis support. If you, or anyone else, may be at immediate risk of harm, stop using Ordyn and contact emergency services or a crisis support service straight away. In Australia, call 000 for emergencies, or contact Lifeline on 13 11 14. If you are outside Australia, use your local emergency number.
4. Eligibility — 18+ only
Ordyn is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use Ordyn. If you are under 18, you may not use Ordyn. By using Ordyn you confirm that you are 18 or older.
5. Accounts
Ordyn does not currently require user accounts or logins. If we introduce accounts in the future, we will provide additional terms covering registration, security, and your responsibilities for keeping access details safe.
6. Payments
Ordyn does not currently offer paid products or subscriptions. If we introduce paid features in the future, those features may be governed by separate terms (including pricing, billing, and any refund arrangements), which we will make available before you purchase.
7. Your content and submissions
When you use Ordyn, you submit private text in order to receive guidance. You do not publicly post content through Ordyn, and there is no public feed or profile. You may attach a single image or screenshot to a request. Attached images are processed by our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response and are screened for prohibited content; they are not stored by Ordyn.
How we handle the information you submit is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Ordyn to do, or attempt to do, any of the following:
- harass, threaten, stalk, manipulate, coerce, intimidate, abuse, or control another person;
- treat Ordyn as emergency help, crisis support, medical care, mental health treatment, legal advice, or any other professional service;
- reverse engineer, copy, scrape, extract, reproduce, modify, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, prompts, systems, outputs, models, workflows, logic, or underlying structure of Ordyn, except where expressly permitted by law;
- use Ordyn for any illegal, harmful, abusive, exploitative, or deceptive purpose;
- attach images containing sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or other illegal or exploitative material; such images may be refused or safety-routed and may result in suspension;
- overload, attack, interfere with, or otherwise compromise the Service or its infrastructure.
We may suspend or stop providing Ordyn to you if you breach these Terms.
9. Artificial intelligence and third-party providers
Ordyn may use third-party artificial intelligence and infrastructure providers to process the text you submit and to generate responses. Your use of Ordyn is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how your information is handled.
10. Intellectual property
Ordyn, including its name, branding, software, prompts, systems, and outputs, is owned by or licensed to ORDYN PTY LTD and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use Ordyn for your own personal, lawful use in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
11. Disclaimers
Ordyn is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that Ordyn will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your particular circumstances. You use Ordyn at your own discretion and risk.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for failing to comply with such a guarantee can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the relevant services or paying the cost of having them re-supplied.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with Ordyn or these Terms is limited to the lesser of:
- the total amount (if any) you have paid us to use Ordyn; and
- AUD $100.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia that apply there. Both you and we submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that location, subject to the dispute resolution process below.
If a dispute arises, you and we agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting each other and negotiating in good faith for a period of at least 30 days before starting formal proceedings.
If the dispute is not resolved within that period, it will be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration seated in Perth, Western Australia, conducted in English by one (1) arbitrator. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent interlocutory or injunctive relief from a court where necessary, and does not limit any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Where Ordyn is offered
Ordyn is operated from Australia and is intended for users in Australia during this beta. We are not actively targeting or directing Ordyn to residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway at this stage. If you choose to access Ordyn from outside Australia, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with any local laws that apply to you.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or on the website before the updated Terms take effect. Your continued use of Ordyn after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
